Overview:
HP Laserjet Enterprise M601 Series printers were developed to support the medium to large printer work groups with high volume needs, the HP Laserjet M602 printer series provides advances in manageability, productivity and security with compromising quality.  Companies can improve efficiency and workflow processes with several management tools, including the HP FutureSmart Firmware, which facilitates the process of deploying customized 3rd party and HP document management solutions.  

The HP Laserjet Enterprise M603 is Energy Star complaint and has the Auto on / Auto off feature - Which turns the printer off when not in use and turns the printer back on when the use is needed.

The HP Laserjet M600 bost a first page output of black as fast as 8.5 seconds and prints at speed of up to 62 pages per minute and a  monthly duty cycle of volume of 5,000 to 20,000 pages.

My first suggestion is to try another toner cartridge.  This specific toner cartridge  when re manufactured tend to be more susceptible to making a squeaky noise.

    HP Laserjet M601 Error when updating the firmware

Question:

I have an HP Laser Jet M600, M601, I'm having trouble with upgrading the pritners firmware.  I've downloaded the firmware directly from hp.com but it doesn't work correctly.   I'm trying the download from the USB port from front of printer.  You can see the error i'm seeing from below pictures.

From the picutres above, an unsupported bundle error is usually the firmware is for a different printer or the file is corrupted from the download.

    HP Laserjet M601  Not Printing


Question:
We are running Mac OS X 10.8 and we are connected through an IP.  The prints use to come out fine.  Now the print queue shows stuck on "Printing-connected to printer".  We have downloaded the drivers direct from HP.  We also uninstalled and reinstalled and the issue continues.  

Answer:
By chance was the Operating System (OS) upgraded from a previous version of OS X???

Our first suggestion is to try doing a printing system reset.  

in order to perform a print system reset  do the following.

A.  Open the System Preferences
B.  Click on Print / Scan
C.  Click on the box listing the current print queue. 
D.  Select Reset Printing System
E.  Enter the Admin User Name and then enter the admin password. 
F.  Reboot the Mac.
G.  Try to setup printer again.  

If the problems continue then reset the printing system again.  

Manually erase (delete) the HP Printer software from the Macintosh computer.  go to  ~\Library\Printers and locate the HP folder then drag the folder to the trash.
Go to ~\Users\HomeUser\Library\Preferences and delete all com.apple.print.x references

Open the disk utility and Repair permission on the OS Disk.  Reboot the Mac. 

Download and reinstall the HP Printing update 2.1 installer.

HP Laserjet M600 Printing too many copies

Question:
I work at the Public Library and we currently have an HP Laserjet M602 for printing from public access computers and The printer is networked.  We are experiencing a problem when printing from Office 2010 products.  The printer will print more than one copy of the requested print document.  If more than one print is requested the printer will go crazy and print multiple copies.  The printer will display printing 1 or x number of copies and the only way to stop this is to cancel all the jobs.  We are not seeing the problem when printing from the web browsers.  The driver is HP Laserjet 600 M601, M602, M603 PCL6 HPCM600c Processor is set to WinPrint - Raw Bi-directional support is disabled.   Printer firmware version is 2305090_000468. 
I have previously installed the Universal PCL6 Driver thinking this might been the causing issue but didn't fix the problem.  I need help on this matter before we go broke on paper.

Answer:
We have figured out the root of the cause after much research and testing.  We have concluded the issue is with collate and the print drivers.  Office 2010 and Adobe Reader default settings are to collate.  If more than (1) copy is selected for some reason this would cause the printer to print multiple copies.  We tried the Universal and Standard drivers and the problem continued.  Once we installed the Postscript driver prints the amount of prints requested.  Problem solved.  Thank you.

HP Laserjet M600 Paper Jam Error 59.05.60 


Question:

After printing several pages of a file, the printer display is showing 59.05.60 ERROR.  The display also asks "To continue turn printer off and then on again?"  Even after tuning printer on / off again the error continues to display.  This is getting darn right frustrating

Answer:
The error you are showing is a drum motor error.  I would first try a different toner cartridge.  From time to time this error can be created by the toner cartridge.  If after trying a toner cartridge and  error continues.  Turn the print off and remove the toner cartridge from printer.    Power on the printer, the printer should stop and ask for toner cartridge.    Test the drum motor with the toner cartridge removed go to  -Administration menu -diagnostics menu  -component test -test drum motor.  If the printer errors out in testing drum motor, then drum motor is defective and replace drum motor.  If the motor test passes then the culprit will be the toner cartridge, more than likely the toner cartridge has dezes up.causing the error code.

HP Laserjet M601 50.72.11 Fuser Error

Question:
I keep getting this error 50.72.11 Fuser error.  I replaced the fuser assembly and roller from the maintenance kit and still get the error.  Please help!!!!

Answer:
1.  Remove the power plug from the outlet and then remove fuser assembly from printer.
2.  inspect for defects (damages) at the LVPS and Fuser Connectors.  (see picture below)
3.  Reinstall the fusing assembly.  make sure the assembly is seated correctly.  
4.  Reconnect the power plug, making sure to plug printer power directly to wall outlet and no power suppressors or protector. 
5.  Wait 20 minutes
6.  Power on the printer.  

If problem persist then replace the Low Voltage Power Supply (LVPS).

Interpret control-panel messages, status-alert messages, and event code errors
The control-panel messages and event code errors indicate the current product status or situations that might require action.

NOTE: Event log errors do not appear on the control-panel display. Access the event log to view or print the event log errors.


Control-panel messages appear temporarily and might require that you acknowledge the message by pressing the OK button to resume printing or by pressing the Stop button to cancel the job. With certain messages, the job might not finish printing or the print quality might be affected. If the message is related to printing and the auto-continue feature is on, the product will attempt to resume printing after the message has appeared for 10 seconds without acknowledgement.
For some messages, restarting the product might fix the problem. If a critical error persists, the product might require service.
