HP LaserJet 1200 and 1220 series printers

  1. Self test and Configuration page
    a.  Press the GO button when the printer is in the Ready state.
    b.  Continuous self-test
  2. Turn the printer power off.
  3. Press and hold the GO button while turning on the printer.
  4. Continue to hold the GObutton until the green ready light turns on (approximately 17 seconds). 
  5. Release the GO button. All lights will blink off and then start cycling when the test pages start printing.
  6. The Self-Test page will continue to print until the GO button is pressed.

    NOTE: When the printer is first turned back on, all lights will flash, and then there will be no light pattern for approximately 10 seconds. The amber light will then turn on. After the GO button is released, all LEDs will turn off for a few seconds and then begin cycling.

  1. After cycling, the lights will all turn off and the green light will blink indicating that data is processing and the page is printing. The printer will return to the Ready state with a solid green light after the page has printed.
    CAUTION: Holding the GO button for more than 20 seconds may initialize NVRAM and reset the unit to the factory defaults.

HP LaserJet 1150 and 1300 series printers Demo page

The demo page contains text, graphics, and general specifications of the printer. It can be used as a quick test of the hardware functionality.

  1. 1. Print demo page from the printer
    When the printer is in the Ready state (ready light on), press and release the GO button to print a demo page.

Configuration page
The configuration page lists current settings and properties of the printer. It also contains a status log report. The Configuration report may be printed from the printer, the embedded Web server, or the HP toolbox.

    When the printer is in the Ready state, press the GO button for about five seconds, until the Attention light turns on, and then release the button.

HP LaserJet 1160 and 1320 series printers Demo page
The demo page contains text, graphics, and general specifications of the printer. It can be used as a quick test of the hardware functionality.

Configuration page

HP LaserJet 2100 series printer
Ensure that the printer is in the Ready state.
Press and release the GO and JOB CANCEL buttons simultaneously on the printer control panel. The Self-Test page will print.

HP LaserJet 2200 series printer

  1. Self-test, Configuration, and HP Jetdirect page
    Simultaneously press and release the GO and JOB CANCEL buttons when the printer is in the Ready state. The Self-Test/Configuration page and HP Jetdirect page (if an HP Jetdirect card is installed) will print. Continuous self-test
  2. Turn the printer power off.
  3. Press and hold the GO button while turning on the printer.
  4. Continue to hold the GObutton until the Attention and Ready lights turn on.
  5. Release the GO button. The Ready light blinks indicating the device is in continuous self-test mode.
  6. The Self-Test page will continue to print until the JOB CANCEL button is pressed

HP LaserJet 2300 series printers Configuration page

  1. Use the configuration page to view current printer settings, to help troubleshoot printer problems, or to verify installation of optional accessories, such as memory (dual inline memory modules, or DIMMs), trays, and printer languages.
  2. The content of the configuration page varies, depending on the options currently installed in the printer.

    NOTE: If an HP Jetdirect print server is installed, an HP Jetdirect configuration page prints as well. The Internet Protocol (IP) address of the HP Jetdirect print server appears on this page.

  3. Use the following steps to print a configuration page at the printer control panel.  Press (Select) to open the menus.
  4. Use (Up button) or (Down button) to scroll to INFORMATION, and then press (Select).
  5. Use (Up button) or (Down button) to scroll to PRINT CONFIGURATION, and then press (Select).

HP LaserJet 2400 series printer
NOTE: If you have an HP Jetdirect print server installed, a second page prints that lists all of the HP Jetdirect information. The IP address of the HP Jetdirect print server appears on this page.

  1. Press (SELECT) to open the menus.
  2. Use (UP button) or (DOWN button) to scroll to INFORMATION and then press (SELECT).
  3. Use (UP button) or (DOWN button) to scroll to PRINT CONFIGURATION and then press (SELECT).

HP LaserJet P3015 configuration page
The configuration page for a LaserJet P3015 tells you a lot about the printer’s status and how it’s set up. Depending on which options and accessories are installed on the printer, the configuration page may actually be two or more pages. To print a configuration page for a LaserJet P3015, follow the steps below.

  1. With the printer on and ready, press the down arrow to bring up the printer’s main menu. If the printer is idle or sleeping, you’ll have to press the down arrow once to wake it up (the screen will brighten) and then once to enter the menu.
  2. Scroll down until “Information” is the highlighted choice. Press the OK button to select it.
  3. Scroll down through the options until “Print Configuration” is the highlighted choice. Press OK to select it, and the configuration page will begin printing out.

HP LaserJet 3300 series printer

  1. Press the MENU/ENTER button.
  2. Use the < or > button to select REPORTS and press MENU/ENTER.
  3. Use the < or > button to select CONFIG REPORT and press MENU/ENTER.3

HP LaserJet 4000 | 4050 | 4100 series printer

  1. Press the printer’s MENU button until INFORMATION MENU appears.
  2. Press ITEM until PRINT CONFIGURATION appears.
  3. Press SELECT to print the Configuration page.
  4. The display will read PRINTING  CONFIGURATION, and the Configuration page will print.


HP LaserJet 4100mfp series printer

  1. Press the MENU button.
  2. Press the Down Arrow button until Information is highlighted.
  3. Press the Right Arrow button.
  4. Press the Down Arrow button to highlight the Print Configuration.
  5. Press the SELECT button, the blue button with the checkmark on it.
    NOTE: The Configuration page will list the printer IP address and also the gateways. The gateways are listed on the first page under Installed Personalities and Options. The IP address is on the second page, the HP Jetdirect page, under TCP/IP.
  6. Place the Configuration page into the ADF face up. Press the green START button to copy the Configuration page.
  7. Check the copy to verify the scanner is calibrated correctly. If the copy is not centered, manually calibrate the scanner.


HP LaserJet 42xx, 43xx series printers
NOTE: If an HP Jetdirect print server is installed, an HP Jetdirect Configuration page prints as well. HP LaserJet 4200n/tn/dtn/dtns/dtnsL and 4300n/tn/dtn/dtns/dtnsL printers come with an HP Jetdirect printer server installed. The embedded Web server also provides configuration information. See the printer User’s Guide for information about the embedded Web server.

  1. Press (Select) to open the menus.
  2. Use (Up Arrow) or (Down Arrow) to scroll to INFORMATION, and then press (Select).
  3. Use (Up Arrow) or (Down Arrow) to scroll to PRINT CONFIGURATION, and then press (Select).

HP LaserJet 4345mfp series printer

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Touch INFORMATION.
  3. Touch PRINT CONFIGURATION PAGE.

HP LaserJet 5000, 5100, 5200 series printer

  1. Press the printer’s MENU button until INFORMATION MENU appears.
  2. Press ITEM until PRINT CONFIGURATION appears.
  3. Press SELECT to print the Configuration page.
  4. The display will read PRINTING CONFIGURATION and the Configuration page will print.

HP LaserJet Enterprise 600 series M601 / M602 / M603 configuration page
The LaserJet Enterprise 600 series printers (M601, M602,603 look similar to the P4015 and P4515 series printers, but the steps for printing out a configuration page are significantly different. To print a configuration page from a LaserJet Enterprise 600 series printer:

  1. ,Press OK to go into the main menu
  2.  Scroll down to “Administration”
  3. Press OK
  4. Reports” will be the first option; press OK to select it
  5. “Configuration/Status Pages” will be the first option; press OK to select it
  6. Scroll down to “Configuration Page”
  7. Press OK
  8. Scroll back up, to “Print”
  9. Press OK

HP LaserJet 8000,8100, 8150, Mopier 240, 320 series printer

  1. Press the printer’s MENU button repeatedly until INFORMATION MENU appears.
  2. Press ITEM repeatedly until PRINT CONFIGURATION appears.
  3. Press SELECT to print the Configuration page.
  4. The display will read PRINTING CONFIGURATION and the Configuration page will print.


HP LaserJet 9000 series printer
To print a Configuration page on an HP LaserJet 9000 from the printer control panel; there are two ways to do this:

  1. Press 2, then 2 again (22) for quick keys, the Configuration page will print out.

Or

Do the following:

  1. Press (Select) to enter the menu system.
  2. Press (Down Arrow) to the Information Menu.
  3. Press (Select).
  4. Press (Down Arrow) to Print Configuration.
  5. Press (Select).

HP LaserJet 9000mfp

  1. To print a Configuration Page from the HP LaserJet 9000 MFP touch screen display do the following:
  2. Touch MENU
  3. Touch INFORMATION MENU.
  4. Touch PRINT CONFIGURATION.

HP LaserJet 9040mfp and 9050mfp series printers

  1. Press the Menu button.
  2. Touch INFORMATION.
  3. Toubch PRINT CONFIGURATION PAGE.


HP LaserJet 9050 series printer

  1. Press the number 2 on the control panel.
  2. Press the number 2 a second time on the control panel to print the Configuration page.

HP Color LaserJet 3500, 3550, and 3700 Series Printer

  1. Press MENU to enter the MENUS.
  2. Press (Down arrow) to highlight INFORMATION.
  3. Press (Select) to select INFORMATION.
  4. Press (Down arrow) to highlight PRINT CONFIGURATION.
  5. Press (Select) to select PRINT CONFIGURATION.
    The message Printing… CONFIGURATION appears on the display until the printer finishes printing the configuration page. The printer returns to the Ready state after printing the configuration page.

    NOTE: The printer will only print one Configuration unless the TEST button is pressed on an external Jetdirect print server. The HP Jetdirect External Print Server en3700 comes standard with the HP Color LaserJet 3500n.


HP Color LaserJet 4600. 4610, 4650, 5500, 5550 series printer|
Use the Configuration page to view current printer settings, to help troubleshoot printer problems, or to verify installation of optional accessories, such as memory (DIMMs), paper trays, and printer languages.

  1. Press (Select) to enter the MENUS.
  2. Press (Down arrow) to highlight INFORMATION.
  3. Press (Select) to select INFORMATION.
  4. Press (Down arrow) to highlight PRINT CONFIGURATION.
  5. Press (Select) to select PRINT CONFIGURATION.
    The message PRINTING…CONFIGURATION appears on the display until the printer finishes printing the Configuration page. The printer returns to the READY state after printing the Configuration page.
